Ozzy Osbourne is a music icon, but he once also could have cemented himself as film legend if not for a piece of advice from his wife Sharon Osbourne.

During an appearance on the February 19 episode of Billy Corgan's new podcast The Magnificent Others, Sharon explained that she once told the Black Sabbath rocker not to try for a role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise despite being asked to audition, calling it "the biggest mistake I ever made with Ozzy," per People.

"He got offered to go an read for Pirates of the Caribbean, and I've never said this to anyone, and I said no. Now wouldn't he have been perfect?" she said, to which Corgan agreed and held out hope for a future appearance. "He would have been perfect! Maybe it's not too late, but God bless."

While Ozzy missed out on appearing in the beloved film series, another rock legend got a piece of the pirate life. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards landed a role as Captain Teague in both Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The "Crazy Train" musician did, however, get a chance to show off his acting chops in other films, like Austin Powers in Goldmember and Little Nicky, as well as other television shows and movies.
