Comedian Jay Mohr revealed that his longtime friend and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Tracy Morgan hilariously mistook his wife, Los Angeles Lakers controlling owner and president Jeanie Buss, for one of the team's 'Laker Girls' cheerleaders at the SNL 50 Anniversary Special on Sunday (February 16).

Mohr discussed the event, which he called "the greatest weekend of my life," on his Mohr Stories podcast, claiming his "goal was just to see Tracy Morgan with my wife" and to have Buss take a picture with Morgan.

"And I go, 'Tracy, this is my wife, Jeanie,' and she goes, 'you gotta come out to L.A. and come to a Lakers game,' and he goes, 'are you a dancer?'" Mohr said, impersonating Morgan's distinct voice.

"Are you a dancer? Because I don't f**k with the Lakers. LeBron [James] couldn't play in New York," added Morgan, a New York native and lifelong New York Knicks fan, according to Mohr.

Mohr and Morgan initially met at Boston comedy clubs before both landed roles on the SNL cast during separate runs, with Mohr appearing on the show from 1993 to 1995 and Morgan appearing from 1996 to 2003.

Buss and Mohr got married at "a small, intimate ceremony in Malibu" on September 3, nine months after announcing their engagement, TMZ Sports reported at the time. Buss, the daughter of longtime Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss, initially split her father's 66% controlling ownership with her five siblings and took over as the franchise's governor and representative at NBA Board of Governors meetings upon his death in 2013 before later becoming president of the Lakers and continuing to lead the team's business operations, while also overseeing basketball operations.
