Pamela Anderson has always been outspoken about her disdain for the miniseries Pam & Tommy that came out in 2022, but in a new interview with Andy Cohen she revealed how she's getting "the best payback."

After describing the series, which highlighted the scandal and fallout from her leaked sex tape with then-husband Tommy Lee in the '90s, as "hurtful," Anderson called it "so bizarre" that others are profiting off of her life without her consent.

“I think ethically it’s illegal,” she said. “But I mean it’s kind of fair game. I remember people telling me a long time ago that you are basically public property and you have no right to privacy.”

“I don’t dwell on it, but it was kind of a strange thing to pick a very terrible time of my life and make entertainment,” Anderson added before noting that she doesn't have anything against Lily James, who plays her in the series. “It’s not the actor’s fault. I mean, I’m sure she’s a great actress and stuff. I don’t care, it’s just one of those things.”

Anderson personally made a return to the spotlight with her role in the film The Last Showgirl, which garnered the first Golden Globe nomination of her career. “This is the best payback,” she said. “I’m being seen and recognized for my work and not these tawdry moments.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the former Baywatch star spoke about her relationship—or lack thereof—with Tommy Lee, whom she was married to from 1995-98 and shares two children. "We used to talk a lot more. Not recently, unfortunately, but you know, I wish we did have a better rapport right now."

“My youngest son is engaged and we’re gonna have grandkids together,” she explained. “It’ll be OK, eventually. It’s just kind of a moment right now.”
