David Gilmour 'No Longer Feels Comfortable Singing' These Pink Floyd Hits

David Gilmour is gearing up for his first tour in eight years, and while fans can expect him to play some Pink Floyd material he recently admitted there are some classics he "no longer feels comfortable singing."

“There are songs from the past that I no longer feel comfortable singing,” he told Mojo. “I love ‘Run Like Hell.’ I loved the music I created for it, but all that ‘You’d better run, run, run…’ I now find that all rather, I don’t know… a bit terrifying and violent.”

“‘Another Brick In The Wall’ is another one I shan’t be doing. I don’t think I’ve done that with my own band, but I certainly did it in the post-Roger Pink Floyd, against my better judgment," Gilmour continued. "The same with ‘Money.’ I won’t be doing that.”

“I’m going to be sticking with the ones that are essentially my music, and I feel some ownership of," he added before naming some songs he plans to perform. "‘Comfortably Numb, ’‘Wish You Were Here,’ ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond,’ maybe."

The former Pink Floyd guitarist recently expressed interest in selling the band's music catalog, saying it would be a "dream." Gilmour released Luck and Strange, his first solo album in nine years, earlier this month. Check out his full list of tour dates below.
