Honor on the Hill

"Honor on the Hill" In the name of Veteran in your life sponsor a (Made in America!) American flag that will be biked up a mountain. A symbolic effort to honor the challenges our military veterans have faced, to raise money for our local Cook Inlet Purple Heart Homes Chapter* and to raise awareness of the needs of Veterans.

How does it work? One mountain, 16 trips, 10 cyclists each climbing 10,000 ft in elevation over a total distance of approximately 64 miles. The event is called "Take That Hill". The cyclists are carrying U.S. flags in honor of Veterans. On each trip up the mountain, Take That Hill cyclists will carry U.S. flags in honor of specific Veterans. It’s called Honor On The Hill. Sponsor a flag, then you or a person of your choosing, will receive the flag that went up the hill. The flag will be packaged and mailed with a certificate commemorating the event and your Veteran. All net proceeds from the sale of the flags in the Anchorage will go to the Purple Heart Homes Cook Inlet Chapter.

Veterans Day is coming up Wednesday, November 11th. Join us in honoring those who have served!
