This guy spent 8 years DIYing his own functional space suit. Not a Halloween costume although he probably would win "Best Costume" but a suit he tested in space conditions. "Space conditions" means he built his own hot air balloon to test out the suit. Wow, and I'm pretty proud of myself when I darn a sock.
